The friends in Breaking Away are stuck without plans for the future but they have each other. You may have plans for the future, and you certainly have friends, but how do those fit together? Write 1-2 paragraphs about how you see yourself in the future, and how you see your friends fitting into that world. Use the movie as a comparison to your own plans.

After you graduate, do you want to go off to college and make all new friends, or do you want to stick around and live in your parents' basement (like Mr. Jaeger did) in order to hang with your current posse? Do you want to get a job and start your life or take a few years to find yourself? Are you going to inherit the family business or work 60 hours a week building your own?
